Connect Claude Desktop to the Prepr MCP server
Add Prepr as a custom connector in Claude Desktop, authorize access to your environment, and test the connection.
Open the connector settings
In Claude Desktop, open Customize, then select Connectors.
In the search bar, enter Prepr CMS and click the + button. This opens a browser window to confirm your request. Click the Continue connecting button to confirm access to your Prepr environment.
Authorize access
Complete the OAuth flow and select the Prepr environment you want Claude to access.
The actions Claude can perform depend on your Prepr user role permissions.
Send your first request
To confirm that Claude Desktop can access your Prepr environment, send the following prompt:
Find the five most recently updated content items in Prepr
and show their titles and publication statuses.Claude Desktop can use the tools exposed by the Prepr MCP server to inspect your environment and work with your content.
The server also inspects the AI context defined in your environment settings to interpret requests more accurately.
