Connect Claude Desktop to the Prepr MCP server

Add Prepr as a custom connector in Claude Desktop, authorize access to your environment, and test the connection.

Open the connector settings

In Claude Desktop, open Customize, then select Connectors.

Follow Anthropic’s custom connector instructions for the current steps. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner must add the connector to the organization before members can connect it.

Add the Prepr MCP server

Create a custom connector using:

Name: Prepr
Remote MCP server URL: https://mcp.prepr.io

Authorize access

Complete the OAuth flow and select the Prepr environment you want Claude to access.

The actions Claude can perform depend on your Prepr user role permissions.

Send your first request

To confirm that Claude Desktop can access your Prepr environment, send the following prompt:


Find the five most recently updated content items in Prepr
and show their titles and publication statuses.

Claude Desktop can use the tools exposed by the Prepr MCP server to inspect your environment and work with your content.

The server also inspects the AI context defined in your environment settings to interpret requests more accurately.
