Connect a Notion custom agent to the Prepr MCP server

Add Prepr as an MCP connection for a Notion custom agent, authorize access, and test the connection.

Open your custom agent

In Notion, open the custom agent that you want to connect to Prepr and go to its MCP connection settings.

Follow Notion’s custom agent MCP instructions  for the current admin and agent setup steps.

A workspace admin must enable custom MCP servers before you can add the connection. The admin may also need to approve the Prepr MCP server URL.

Add the Prepr MCP server

Create a custom MCP connection using:

  • Name: Prepr
  • Server URL: https://mcp.prepr.io

Authorize access

Complete the OAuth flow and select the Prepr environment you want the custom agent to access.

The actions the agent can perform depend on your Prepr user role permissions.

Send your first request

To confirm that your Notion custom agent can access your Prepr environment, send the following prompt:

Find the five most recently updated content items in Prepr and show their titles and publication statuses.

Your Notion custom agent can use the tools exposed by the Prepr MCP server to inspect your environment and work with your content.

The server also inspects the AI context defined in your environment settings to interpret requests more accurately.
